KGB Raid on Saturday, March 02

Thank you for those pictures Klammy, this KGB raid was more than just the normal killing in Emain so I’ll tell you all the epic story of KGB upon this faithful night...
(gather around boys and girls and give your general a bottle of JD, this is gonna be a hard story to tell...)

The Great Plan
Lord Impaired a member of Nordic Winds was the one who set this up a week in advance and when I told him KGB could come to help he was very pleased. On the night of the raid Impaired told me that KGB was to team up with the guild Frost Dragons and together our guilds would take Caer Sursbrooke, then the Frost Dragons would go on to the Frontier gates in Forest Sauvage to stop albs as they came through and KGB would go on to Castle Excalibur to help take the Relic. The other two guilds that were there would take the Merchant Keep and then Caer Erasleigh, and then meet us at the Relic castle.

What ended up really happening
I'll use Klammy's pics as my time line... The first pic is KGB setting up at the Midgard portal in Albion. 2nd pic is KGB set up and ready to go but we had to wait for the Frost Dragons to portal in so we could go together to take Caer Sursbrooke. 3rd pic is moments before Impaired asked everyone to go to Horbur and tell him they can carry siege supplies, KGB was basically the only ones organized enough to get its members to help carry stuff, so KGB ended up being the supply depot for the relic raid. The 4th & 5th pics is us leaving the portal going towards Sursbrooke, the ones in the blues capes are the Frost Dragons. 6th pic is when I got us to Sursbrooke and we had some aggro to kill, shortly after we started sieging the keep. 7th pic is us beating at the door of Sursbrooke, we quickly found out the doors had been greatly upgraded (instead of doing my normal 45dmg I only did 10dmg) and it proved to be too hard to take so I called Impaired and asked for back up and he came a little while afterwards. We finally broke down the doors and Impaired left with some of the people to go help the people at Caer Erasleigh since they were having troubles now as well. KGB and Frost Dragons charged in and killed the lord of the keep and took control of the keep. The 8th pic is us killing the Lord of the keep at Caer Erasleigh, but I think the 9th pic should come before the 8th pic because the 9th pic shows us taking a lot of deaths while beating down Caer Erasleigh's doors. What ended up happening was Impaired and his part of the relic army was unable to take Caer Erasleigh but KGB got there just a little after they all died and we res'd them and then charged the doors again, and after almost dieing ourselves we were able to break through and kill the Lord. The 10th pic is us waiting to move on to the Relic Castle Excalibur.

When it went wrong
Impaired left with half of the relic army without making sure I knew he was leaving so after sending him a /tell he told me to take my forces to the Relic and we'll meet up there. I started moving us southwards and the path to the Relic is not easy we had a number of mobs aggro and we even got caught up in the realm guards near the keep Boldiam. But eventually we made it to the Relic and I stationed us on top of the highest hill with a perfect view of the Relic keep, while we waited for Impaired to get there. The problem was Impaired left before us yet he still was not there so I sent him a /tell and he told me they got lost and ended up at Caer Sursbrooke. He then got organized again and started heading towards the relic to meet us but they all died to NPC guards before making it to us.

The very bloody and glorious ending
I now knew that the relic army was only the KGB forces and the other 20 or so random people who were following us. I was also told that inside the Relic castle they had 60 people in there plus many more standing outside. The relic takeover wasn't going to happen but when you can't win a battle and become famous you can at least die a glorious death and go down like Knights! So I gave the word to charge a force of Albions that were standing between us and the Relic. A large and destructive battle followed and the forces of Midgard along with KGB fell to the many Albonian warriors.

But when it was all over I received /tells from people telling me how they were impressed with KGB and how without us it wouldn't have even gotten that far. So although we lost, I believe we brought glory and honor to KGB!
