THE HEAVEN REPORT
"The Killer Bird"

Ahh an interesting afternoon as always with our warriors. Today I decided to listen in on a conversation regarding the woods around our headquarters and local tavern. Much to my surprise, one warrior was lamenting about his recent death. Most unexpected on his part I believe but alas, funny enough that I stayed to listen for a short spell.

It seems our friend, Lord Dakilla, was out in the forest on a peaceful stroll, when he came upon a rather angry forest creature. Lord Dakilla was unfortunate enough to encounter one those animals known as: yes, the killer bird. Apparently, it did not appreciate Dakilla taking the time to take its life in return for its feathers. A duel was fought but alas, Lord Dakilla did not survive.

One witness, his lordship Tansu, saw it all. He said that Dakilla did all he could. His exact words to me when I asked him about the event were as follows: "Yes, he did all that a man in that position could do". Tansu is also quoted as saying, "I just wretched as I saw him fall, crying and sobbing like a little baby"

Alas, a short time later, a confession was made. 'Twas not that a killer bird had taken the life of this warrior but his own lack of judgement when practicing his magical powers. From what I understand though, Tansu was still weeping tears but not of pain or heartfelt agony but of laughter which even he could not hold in.

Trying not to laugh myself, I sat down on a nearby log and began to think. Personally, I would have stuck with the killer bird story but then again, this statement comes from a lady who, on a good day, has to run from the local mongbat population when she realizes she is out of musical instruments.

Take care all and may your journeys bring you nothing but prosperity in this land.

"Hands his lordship Dakilla a book on "Magery for Dummies" and gives his lordship Tansu a new box of Ettin-nex, strong enough for any warrior's tears"

Until next time…….
