Talks Peace - But Means War?
(Seige Perilous - The Swamp) Last Monday at noon, the Official Cease fire agreement ended between KGB and the Imperium. Although a settlement has not been reached in the conflict, both sides have avoided confrontation and open aggression. Hopes were still high about a resolution between KGB and Imperium - until today. After two weeks of peace, Imperium's Sir Morder attacked and killed an innocent's wyrm who was a guest in a KGB hunting party. Four KGB members arrived on Titan Island with the tamer Ss'xxx and his Wyrm. They spotted Sir Morder with two dragons but proceeded on. High Council Chairperson Kia D'Traeumer said "Well since we had no intention of showing any sign of aggression towards him [Sir Morder -I-] and assumed he felt the same way, we continued our pursuit of hunting Titan and Cyclop Warriors." During the hunt, Ss'xxx fell dead from the deadly blasts of a titan while his mighty Wyrm continued to protect its master's body. At this point, Sir Morder witnessing the death of Ss'xxx ran over to his still warm corpse. The KGB members thought he was running to loot Ss'xxx's corpse and flee, like a thief in the night. What Sir Morder did was sit next to the Wyrm that was locked in combat with a Titan - standing over Ss'xxx's body. Eventually, the Wyrm casted a Mass Curse spell, which is area affect. Morder, who was standing right next to the battle waiting for that moment, ran off. Sir Morder immediately returned with his two dragons and attacked the wyrm. "I asked him to stop. My brothers ask him to stop. He said it attacked him. He refused to stop and killed my brother's wyrm," said Kia "Being a tamer, he knew that wyrms often use mass curse while fighting an opponent. I believe this was a blatant act of aggression when none was made towards him. He knew the tamer of the wyrm was dead so he knew that no one told the wyrm to attack him." Tamer Ss'xxx said Sir Morder knew exactly what he was doing. "Sir Morder, obviously knowing the ways of Dragons and Wyrms considering he had 2 there, proceeded to run to my corpse while my Wyrm was fighting a Titan. He then stood there until my Wyrm casted Mass Curse, thus attacking him because of its area affect. He then ran to a safe distance until the Wyrm had finished off the Titan." After the Wyrm killed the Titan, Sir Morder attacked with his two dragons despite a last minute effort by the newly resurrected Ss'xxx to pull his Wyrm away from the losing fight. The Four KGB valiantly tried to heal the wyrm to save its life, but Sir Morder was out for war, and nothing would stop him from killing the Wyrm. Sir Morder claimed that he was innocent. The only reason he ran up to the Wyrm "was to loot the corpse of the titan." A corpse he did not kill, nor aided in killing - yet he ran up to the battle to snatch the gold from a man he watched die. Strangely, he did not loot the corpse and remained only long enough to be caught in the Wyrms area effect spell.
Sir Morder is not a new Imperium member and his lame unprovoked tactics against a group of KGB who avoided him, only means that certainl elements in the Empire want war again. The Cease fire between Imperium and KGB has ended and Imperium has always 'claimed' that their blue (citizens) do not wage war, only the Inquisitors. Yet here we see a perfect example of Imperial Citizens engaging in conflict with KGB forces. Hopefully, this matter will be resolved peacefully. Ss'xxx has demanded that the Imperium pay restitution of 10k gold, or another Wyrm or Dragon. Hopefully, the Imperium will review the facts and restore what was taken.
