The
Battle of 9 May, 2000 ( Siege Perilous ) Huge fight tonight in Deceit. We gathered for a hunt around 8pm and proceeded to do a walkthrough of Deceit. On our way out, we got word of a huge mob of OGD and friends gathering outside. We decided that it would be better to fortify ourselves in the Duel Room, however with the entrance cut off OGD proceeded to buff their numbers tremendously. By the time the battle started, 11 KGB were looking at no less than 16 enemies (With all the ghost scouts and blues around, it is difficult to confirm their exact number, but I counted at least 16). We fought well at first, taking even kills. However, the relatively even 11 vs 16 quickly turned into double odds as members of both sides began to drop. A crew of three archers chased me around and eventually got me as I ran out of mana. Our enemies had healers outside of the battle ressing their dead, and we simply could not compete once the odds got out of hand. Eventually, we had to call the retreat and two of our members were able to make it out alive. Considering our relative newbiness and the odds, I am still quite happy with the killcount. Although we have willingly taken on this alliance, there is no shame in losing to a combined force from 5 other guilds. Apparently ShadowClan and UDL had been watching the action, as a large crew hit Deceit shortly after our battle. However, with the two Wyrms that OGD and friends had brought along, the Orcs were unable to compete with such firepower and ultimately lost. |
